Vajra means “diamond staff”.
In India, the diamond staff is held by the Goddess Indra who holds the power to give full enlightenment in a single flash.
The Djani Bodhisattva Manjusri manifests full Buddha consciousness and Vajra meditation stems from him and conveys the means of developing the siddhis within oneself.
The development of these siddhis manifests the establishment of the Glorious Body of Buddha within oneself.
Vajra Meditation: A traditional branch of the Tibetan school:
This path includes the teaching of Tantra or Mahatantra conveyed in the Tibetan schools and translated by Asamgha in the 6th century.
Vajra meditation has been taught for centuries in temples but, little by little, it became weighted down by complex Buddhist rituals and therefore, in our day, numerous essential elements remain inaccessible to students.
This practice is currently taught in a traditional way by teachers who learned in the same way. This path is still luminous but it is incomplete.
The problem is that we desire to reach the goal, enlightenment, without taking into account the intermediate steps that are essential.
The development of mother lotuses allowing siddhis or powers to be awakened is no longer addressed. The spiritual potentials such as clairvoyance, clair-audience and projecting the spirit to other places are an integral part of human nature and cannot be put aside.
An Indo-Buddhist, esoteric and initiatory school:
This school represents a transcendent path leading to Mahasiddhis, the mother of all siddhis. In other words, the goal of this axis is to develop mystical powers that symbolize Buddha’s power. (The teachings given here by Erwin come directly from this Indo-Buddhist path which is rapid and initiatory.)
Vajra Meditation: The origins of a pure diamond
A sacred and ancestral meditation
Vajra meditation stems directly from the teachings spread by the Buddha. In the beginning, it was conveyed to certain initiates by the Mahatmans themselves.
This meditation is practiced in the heart of the temples of Tibet and India and in the remote peaks of the Himalayas and conveys the most mysterious methods for obtaining Buddha’s Glory Body.
Progressive fall into stagnation
The teaching of this practice became gradually weighed down over the ages. Certain elements remain veiled or kept secret in the heart of the traditional rituals which are heavy and obscure. This has made this sacred meditation technique more difficult to practice.
The veil is now lifting
Once it is freed and cleansed, one can easily see that Vajra meditation resembles an absolutely pure and shining diamond.
In fact, it represents one of the only practices that exists today that can be applied universally and understood and integrated by anybody, from any persuasion.
It offers the possibility of rapid evolution toward enlightenment of the spirit to the pure Light of God.
This practice allows the practitioner to place himself directly in the rays of the Lord Maitreya who is considered to be the future Buddha and is awaited and worshipped in the east as in the west.
Maitreya represents the synthesis of the Essences of the Buddha and the Christ. He carries in him the supreme Essence of mystical Light coming from the Highest Source.
The benefits of Vajra meditation
Become conscious, feel guided
This meditation is for all those who relentlessly seek to get nearer to God. Practicing it brings relief from suffering and affliction because it absorbs one into a state of immeasurable consciousness. The body, heart and mind become one with Divine Consciousness. When one is thus nearer to their Father, they feel constantly guided and supported in all of their daily actions. He becomes conscious of every gesture and every breath and feels at one with himself, able to make decisions that are aligned to universal balance.
Purification of Karma
Karma is a universal law contained in God’s spirit. It means what comes back to us based on our actions. So, in the universe, we always reap what we sow.
When our thoughts, words and actions are in line with universal harmony, we do not generate new causes and we significantly reduce our karma which is rapidly purified.
The liberated spirit or true well-being
True well being can only emanate from an inner state. It comes from a state of inner peace where the mind is no longer troubled by any thoughts.
No possessions, no inner or outer factors can create the bliss felt by the meditator when his sprit is suspended in the infinite present.
Outside situations can create a certain contentment but that is not really happiness. This feeling is transitory and illusory because it is subject to the ups and downs of our constantly changing world. It can be transformed into bitterness in an instant, as soon as another event or a single thought puts a stain on this superficial and unsteady feeling of pleasure.
If the spirit remains free, at one with the peace of the present moment then the being lives in full consciousness and cannot be troubled or influenced by any outer events. He lives, acts and thinks in resonance with his inner self. He is in harmony with himself and the world.
Give meaning to your life
It is good to know and meet one’s daily responsibilities but when your life becomes a pure meditation, each experience takes on real meaning and our entire existence is transformed. When we live consciously, each personal goal is reoriented to serve divine harmony. We are fulfilled on a daily basis all the while feeling supported by our inner practices. This helps us to constantly feel the flow of life and to become a whole being capable of bringing spirit into matter; that means capable of injecting consciousness into all that we do in order to feel at one with the divine spirit.
The goal of life: reach greater consciousness
Life experiences are like lessons offered to us by God. Each event in our existence should be interpreted as a means of perfecting ourselves, becoming more conscious and strengthening our virtues. The more a being acquires virtues through his experiences, the more pure he becomes. The opportunities life gives us to overcome are true gifts that allow us to reach a higher consciousness and thus, greater well-being.
Enlightenment
Evolving beings are like rough diamonds that are trapped in their stone encasing in the obscurity of their ephemeral prison.
When a person opens up to a discipline of the mind such as meditation, little by little their soul becomes crystalline and gradually becomes liberated from its envelope. Developing their purity, the being becomes capable of seeing the reassuring gentle warmth of the divine presence all around him. Then, when the moment comes, just like the divine light that shines through a liberated diamond, the divine spirit can then entirely fill him.
Just like the shine of a pure diamond reflects all of the sun’s clarity, the spirit of an awakened being can reflect the light of divine omnipresence.
When a person’s aura becomes pure and crystalline like a diamond, when he possesses all of the virtues allowing the divine to reflect through him, then man completes his earthly journey. Just like a radiant spark, he goes back to the divine fire, God’s infinite consciousness.
